We organize various events throughout the year to aid athlete development and celebrate the achievements of volunteers across the territory. These events provide valuable opportunities for growth and recognition within the sport community. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower Indigenous communities, uphold cultural heritage through sport, and nurture a spirit of excellence and inclusion.

    The Indigenous Summer Games are held every second summer. It is celebration of Traditional Games, Indigenous Peoples and their culture. This event is for athletes aged 13 and older.
  • Summer 2025

    Summer 2025
    The NWT Archery Championships is an annual event that sees archers of all ages compete in both compound and recurve.
  • Multiple Dates

  • Feb 14, 2025, 3:00 p.m. – Feb 16, 2025, 7:00 p.m.
    The Traditional Games Championships is an annual event for athletes between the ages of 10 and 12 years old. It is a Northern Games and Dene Games competition between schools across the Northwest Territories.

    Dec 07, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
    The purpose of the ISCNWT Award program is to recognize and give credit to exceptional community members in the NWT.
